How to use Claude to audit design portfolio like a hiring manager
A prompt + setup guide for designers who want brutal, honest feedback on their case studies
What you'll get: a visual audit with attention curve, annotated screenshots, and priority fixes — built in one conversation
Built in one conversation with the way a hiring manager actually reads it.

How to set up Claude in Chrome
Step 1 — Install the extension
Go to the Chrome Web Store → search "Claude" → install Claude for Chrome by Anthropic.
Step 2 — Sign in
Click the Claude icon in your toolbar → sign in with your claude.ai account.
Step 3 — Grant permission
Go to chrome://extensions → find Claude → click Details → under Site access → select "On all sites".
Step 4 — Use it from claude.ai
Paste the prompt above into claude.ai - not the extension popup. The extension is just the bridge that lets Claude browse; the conversation runs on claude.ai.
Step 5 — Important
When Claude asks for permission to browse a page, click Allow - not Exit. If you accidentally close the prompt, reload the tab and it will ask again.
NOTE:
One heads up: the MCP connection occasionally times out after a few minutes of inactivity. If it drops, just toggle the extension off and back on in chrome://extensions, reload the tab, and you're good.
Prompt for Claude AI
The prompt now goes into claude.ai. Claude in Chrome is not a separate chat — it's an extension that gives Claude inside claude.ai the ability to browse websites.

If this helped, the best thank you from you is a follow + share with one designer friend who needs to see it! More breakdowns coming weekly!!!
